FEMALE
I don't claim to be a specialist in female training but have had some good success.
Females in general seem to be much less egocentric and more receptive to instruction. Therefore with an open mind and being willing to learn, you would expect to see good results providing obviously you implement what you have learned on a consistent basis.
I am a big fan of weight training for women. Its all about working smarter not harder to reap the rewards! Simply put, weight training demands more caloric demand from your body than any cardio session will at equal length. Weight training has many benefits, e.g.. Improved bone strength and reduced risk of osteoporosis. A release of endorphins which help with mood and mental health. It can also help with poor posture or chronic back, neck or shoulder pains. It could be simply an imbalance of muscle groups.
I also have a certificate in training pre and post natal women which is basically a what to do and a what not to do. How to keep you training throughout your pregnancy and preparing for childbirth and getting back in the gym after ward.
I have some of my favourite Podcasts listed on this site HERE but there is one in particular that may interest you if you are female: Estrogen
On a final note, DO NOT be afraid of getting big and bulky, most women simply don't have the genetics to do so.
